    KYB Shocks/Struts

Hey does anyone have KYB shocks/struts on their car. I definitely need a new suspension and I was wondering if this was a decent brand. I think its good stuff, right

    Decent? Yes

What sort of springs are you looking at putting on them? What model of KYB are you looking at?
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

I had both GR2 and AGX.

GR2 is noticeably stiffer than most factory replacement shocks. AGX is not to stiff and not to soft even at maximum settings.

gr2 factory replacment or a very very mild drop. I had them on eibach prokits and they are ok.

but they are like 10% stiffer than stock, still completly comfortable

but i went with some agx's that i havent installed yet;.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I got skunk2 springs with KYB GR2 struts.

IMO it rides smooth and stiff enough without fealing all the road cracks...

And the drop is very nice IMO its about 2.2 inch front and 1.9 rear .. I'm not too sure of that...

And i dunno if KYB GR2 are all lifetime warranty but mine are so the guy told me when they blow i can get some new..

I just finished putting kyb agx on the accord with eibach springs and its fuken saweet!

I love the ride now, its so smooth (depending on the setting you got). But it did raise my ride a bit, so it only looks like i dropped it .9'' from factory height. but its not a 4x4 like most oem springs are.

man i love these struts, and i came from the gr2s which wernt blown. These rebound much better of course you get what you paid for.

You won't want to use coilovers. The travel on the KYBs are NOT meant for it. In fact, I think none of the KYB line are meant for a drop, only stock ride height.

Yes, I know, I'm running almost a 2" drop on my AGXs and they've been at fully firm since purchased. The car had coilovers on it and they bottomed out all the time, and rode like shit.

Better to go with some Konis! That's where I'm heading.
