    cd5 crossmember

So I stripped out a rack and pinion mount welded nut on the passenger side of the crossmember and tried the old drill tap and helicoil method but it’s not holding up…

time to scour yards for a cb7 but none are in sight and with the warmish weather I figured what better time than now to look around

I was able to find a 1997 cd5…. So I’m lookin to see if anyone has ever fitted the cd5 crossmember (the rear one with the trans mount, the rack and pinion, and the front sway bar) to a cb7 with success..

to clarify it’s the middle one pictured here

Hmmm good question. I suspect that you would be able to do this as the CB / CD Accords share a multitude of parts. The rear subframes are interchangeable (the arm spacing is specific to the rear knuckle, but that is specific to the rear suspension), so that may also apply to the front. If you don’t want to do that, you can find these on eBay; there are a few listed at the moment.
