Pics of CR Traction bar setup and my initial thoughts

Got these installed over the weekend and thought I'd put up some pics.

I got them from Scott at Collective Racing (2point6) like 4 weeks ago and finally was ready to install.
They bolted right in real easy, lined up very well and I had no complications with them. I can feel the road a bit more with them, but nothing real bad.

^The reason that you HAVE to run a smaller diameter crank pulley. The factory one is close, and this is with the suspension un-compressed.

I havent been able to do any full throttle testing or hard driving/cornering/luanching yet as I still need an alignment and dyno tuning for some new goodies

Lets just say it won't idle anymore after this install

The only problem I ran into was the drain plug on my koyo radiator is VERY close to the bars, but after trimming it down a bit (The plug) it works fine. Also, I havent had a splash guard under my car for several years now so who knows if it would bolt in, but I think it might need some fabbing to work.

It opened up ALOT of room for my downpipe and such (Didn't need it, but there is no problem for a 3" DP, and a 4" would fit easily as well if needed).

I'll get dyno tuned and then take this thing to the track and see what kind of 60' times I can post up, 1.9's here we come!!!

Will you have to change your crank pulley to use this?

Depending on how low the car is will determine the use of a smaller pulley. My car is lowered 1.5" and uses the stock pulley without issue.

                  muahahaha

i would assume it would be the same for all F/H motors, since they all have the c/p in the same location...

i meant they sit in the same spot relative to the engine bay / suspension, as any H/F motor is the same size / shape. smartass.

adding my thoughts...umm...dude...yea i never say "dude" lol. Its like this, i've got some shitty ass tires on my car right now and before these bars i could just annihilate them in 1st and 2nd and not even be shifting fast or hard. Now with these bars and an alignment i can actually launch on shitty tires. Whereas before launching was like starting a bbq pit...nothing but smoke. But it doesn't stop at just straight line stuff! I'm having more fun taking turns extremely fast than i am going in a straight line now. Its like...its harder to turn the wheel but once its there the friggin car is in on rails. I've been taking some circular on ramps pretty fast lately and theres almost no body roll, lean, or understeer. The last thing i thing i need is some decent tires and i'm gonna think i'm the juggernaut!

                          : praise : traction bars

I am working on an improved version currently. Depending on the demand, I might make a new run of these. Changes are mostly in weight... we are using 4130 instead of mild steel as well as smaller bars for better crank pulley clearance. Price might increase slightly.

Let me know if there is a continued interest in these.

I am concidering doing a run of these with the prelude front mount instead of the dog bone, but I need a doner car to use for mock up. Anyone interested let me know.

Ahh Damnit, now your going to do one with the prelude mount!!!!

I've being screwing around for days trying to fab up a new mount, and the prelude setup clears my turbo stuff perfectly!!

Oh well, still a great setup.

Do you accept trade-ins for the newer ones? Send mine in and get 65% off the new ones?
