go to auto zone and rent a spring compressor for $50. youl get your money back and wont have to damage, kill, mame, or impale someone with a bolt, nut, or spring. do it right the 1st time and save yourself some trouble. lol

there are ways you can remove the spring without the spring compressor but i wouldnt recommend that. id rather you get the compressor or else you may risk losing some nuts or bolts that youll NEED before you put your suspension back together.

he'll be ok with OEM struts for a while. just as long as the drop isnt TOO low. i had egay coilovers on my cb at first. i think it was dropped like 3" before i got some real lowering springs. i never blew a strut until i hit a big pot hole. lol. but before that the only problems i had was getting into my dad garage without scraping my front lip and going over speed bumps. rode fine except over bumps when it bounced like crap.

the bumps will be no problem, its drops to 4 inches max but i was thinking 3 would give me what i want an have a lil to play with on the safe side

well if your gonna go 3" just be sure not to ride on the OEM struts for too long. the entire time i had my egay coilovers, i had a fear that one of the bounces on the highway was going to scrape off my oil pan. and a couple of times ive came close to it. lol.

but i suggest to you, no more than a couple of months after you install them, get a set of aftermarket struts. riding on a blown strut isnt fun at all. i was driving down I-95 and blew a tire. i tried to pull over to the side and once the rumple strips got to the side where the strut was blown it was like the wheel wasnt even there. i almost T-boned another car. not fun at all man

yeah. i ran into that problem too. dear lord i bout threw a fit when that bolt at the bottom wouldnt go in all the way. lol. make sure you line that bolt up right. if you dont then youll get frustrated REAL quick.

where did you get your coilovers from anyway? what company?
