I have a customer that is about to purchase one of these motors but is concerned over parts availability. I believe the timing belt for this motor is the same PTO that is used in the F22A engines, but I am by no means positive. Is there anything else that I should warn him about? I wish my catalogs would look up JDM part numbers. That would answer lots of customer questions that I get on a weekly basis. What say ye?

Note: I tried the F22ax SOHC, H23 and GSR combinations and they do not work properly. Some will say otherwise, but I know how it is supposed to fit. Just because you make something fit does not mean it's appropriate.

Use F22A timing components. F-series blocks are all basically the same.
Josh, that info pertains to DOHC F-series, F22B, etcLast edited by Accrdwgnguy; 04-05-2011, 06:25 AM.

To add to that note, The F20A was both available in SOHC and DOHC for.
Josh the info is indeed for an F20A, but in the DOHC form.
The info posted by Josh would apply to DOHC motors and you can use F22Ax timing components on the SOHC.
Hope that clears things up.
