    manual timing belt problems

ok im on my 3rd timing belt within a month the first one was because i didnt know about 11mm washer and now my motor just ate anotha belt i changed everything for the conversion except to tensioner which im buying soon....the only bad thing is that i was driving 50mph when the car just shut off on me and wouldnt start i rechecked the timing and i guess because of how much belt that was shreaded it jumped like 3 or 4 teeth ....so i probably need to replace valves now and i was wondering what timing belt exactly is everyone using for the f20b swap and if anybody thinks that the tensioner that i didnt change could be the verdict??? any help would be great

Yeah, you need all the parts for correct operation. And if I remember right, the F20B uses the H22 timing belt.

My belt shredded last week because the belt pulley for the power steering and alternator wasn't installed installed properly. The timing belt then moved outwards and grinded against the valve cover and almost snapped. It has jumped one teeth or 2 but I think my engine is ok because it was running fine. However you have to be very careful installing timing belt parts or you may be in trouble.
