I am not sure our accords have the 3pin dlc connector, 92-95 obd1 preludes have them.

I don't know all the details about California's regulations, etc when it comes to smogging/inspection; but shouldn't the ref be looking at the sheet for the Accord, not a prelude, as thats what your chassis is. If you really need a 3pin connector added so you can pass, it shouldn't be all that difficult, its only 3 wires, and I know at least one if not two go back to the ecu.

Heres some information about the DLC connector on PGMFI:

since the 96 h22 is obd2 he's probably looking for the onboard diagnostic port. I am not sure if they can be transfered into a obd1 car without major rewiring. you might have better luck converting everything to odb1 on the engine and telling him its a 95 h22

thats easy as fuck to wire up. it's just one power, one ground and the one attached to the ecu is your data wire.

for modifications, keep it obd1 but for best driveability and diagnostic, go obd2. it's so easy to scan for codes on my tacoma swapped pickup. don't have to read any blinks bullshit.

however if you bar it as a 96, you will have to go through a lot more shit for smog tests because you will need to make sure the CEL is off (need to check through the computer) and make sure you have monitors completed.

the good thing is that you do away with evap testing and possibly timing? i know i check timing on ek civics.

but i don't think you have a choice? unless the computer and motor setup is truely a 95. some 95's came equipped with a data port in preparation for obd2 capabilities.

I just smogged a 95 golf today that had a obd2/dlc port. anyways, wire up the port even if it is a 95 because it wouldve came like that from the factory....goto the junkyard and just snip a dlc connector off anything easy you can find a wiring diagram for.

Pin D7 on the ecu is the send/receive wire according to: http://technet.ff-squad.com/wiring.obd1.htm

Power and ground can be tapped from anywhere, I am not sure how honda has it wired up from the factory, but I could imagine/see all three wires for the DLC connector tied into the connectors for the ecu, that way there is no ground offsets if it even applies.
