I connected that wire to a spot on the firewall , does it have to be on the thermostat? It doesnt reach and i dont see a bolt for it

If your coil doesnt give spark NOW, that's kind of your problem. Crank but no start means a fuel or spark issue, and you say yourself you're not getting spark. Check all the wiring related to it. And how does your harness ground stretch all the way to the firewall but not reach the t-stat housing from whence it came?

How the hell is that happening? You bolt the ground strap to either the bottom stud where the t stat housing bolts to the intake, or one of the bolts holding the t stat housing together. There should be NO way that ground strap reaches that far.

Can you post a picture of this ground you're referring to so we're sure we're all talking about the same thing?

When swapping in an h22 it's easiest to re-use the f22 harness, adding the new h22 components and swapping the couple connectors that are different, so no there's no difference.

So im dumb , didnt realize that the coil needed ground -_- , so i did that and i got spark, and the car fired up , but the spark is only there for a while and causes the car to turn off so thats where im stuck need to move the wire around to get the spark

                        Sounds like a poor ground.

So what about that pic of the ground you said you put on the shock tower or firewall?
