You're correct about everything. I didn't mean anything bad by my reaponse. My computer died today so I've had to type on my phone.

So I'm pretty sure the P13 fried. I can get everything to work with the PT3, but it idles super low and spews black smoke. That is until the fuse fries a few minutes later. So I need a new P13. I havn't modified any wiring, so I haven't cut anything. What all runs through the ecu that could cause the ecu fuse to blow and wont throw a code with a PT3? This sucks. I was so happy for about an hour...

I also just realized my cel never initially came on. Shouldnt it have being as how the tcu wasn't plugged in?

No, I have run an auto ECU in a manual, no CEL's.

I thought you had to jump the resistor? So anyway, the P13 will pop the fuse instantly, the PT3 takes a little while. Any ideas?

Check the thermostat ground, aswell as the ground from the starter which i think goes to the main fuse block.

So the starter is independent of the ecu. You can crank it withought it in. I hooked the power cable to it. Also my battery ground hooks to the starter. Then there is also the little clip hooked to the starter. I find it curious the P13 pops the fuse instantly and the PT3 takes a while. Im going to jack the car up and look under the hood to see if something is pinched somewhere.

It sounds most likely like a ground issue did you do the 5spd swap or that shop? Go over every Ground an power wire. Is it poping the 75 or 100amp battery fuse to?

Any idea where the ecu ground is?

Ok, your tcu is bad. Unplug it and do the bypass that is in the stickies.

The only things connected to the #24 fuse are the tcu, ecu, radio and clock.

It is the wht/yel wire for reference. Pin A20 on the tcu. Pin D1 on the ecu.

The ecu is grounded at the thermostat housing.
                      Hope this helps.

I have a permanent switch wired into the kick panel so I can just flip it to check for codes. My fuse panel has a seperate fuse for the radio. Ill check the tstat tomorrow. I should have a decent amount of diagnostics in the morning.

Must have been bad grounds. I took every one off and either clean or rebuilt it. Car runs good now. It has a slight chatter at low rpm. Im gonna recheck tranny fluid level. I know my tranny mount is about a half inch too long so I need to pull it and modify it. Lifetime warranty on axles so I should be fine if I break one.
