"and re-tape the harness. These wires will be hooked up to the reverse light switch on the transmission later. In the passenger side kick panel, seperate the red/white and white/black wires from the connector that went to the Transmission Control Module." also the wire talked about here is dark green not black but im pretty sure its what they mean by black "Unplug both clutch switch connectors from the assembly. Connect both solid black wires together" also the spring on the clutch pedel can any1 explain how i can put it back on everyway i try does not work also i can find were to bolt the clutch dampener so a pic would help also i can not find the interlock control module which is supposed to be removed to mount the clutch pedle so a pic would help on that 1 sense i dont know what it looks like

the reverse light switch sits on top of the manual tranny, if thats what you're having trouble with.. when they say retape the harness its because you're going to have to unwrap some of the wires to do so.. i also recommend taking off any bad tape and replacing it anyways. As far as the green wire you might be correct, it should be a green and yellow wire. The clutch dampner mounts to the side of the engine bay.. you'll see little circles on the side and you'll probably going to have to drill it to put them in. On the clutch pedal if you already installed it, push the pedal all the way in and push it until it goes back onto the pedal. Make sure that the "Arm" is on your side. Your pedal will probably pop back and forth since you won't have any pressure in it.. don't freak out.

Here is how I did the reverse switch on my car. Like the last fella said the reverse switch sits on top of the tranny and has green/black and yellow wires coming off it, atleast that's the color scheme on my car.

Do you still have your auto tranny? I was able to find a wire harness that had the same color wires. That way I didn't have to cut the wire harness that's already in the engine bay. Here's a pic to give you an idea of what I did.

I then went and found where the green/black and yellow wires were on the transmission control unit wire harness. After that i ran 2 wires over to the wire harness beside the shifter. I can't remember what 2 wires you hook up to in the shifter harness. I think it's 9 and 10, but I will have to check. Also the reverse wires in my shifter harness were green/black and yellow, but yours may or may not be. Here's a pic of the green/black and yellow wires in the TCU harness and the red and black wires I ran over to the shifter harness.

Are you also having trouble wiring up the clutch switches?

        Trouble with clutch wires

I am having trouble wiring clutch wires. First off, the instruction say to disconnect clutch wires when my automatic harness has no clutch wires at all. Also it says to connect it to a solid black wire in the shifter harness when there are two solid black wires in the shifter harness. I understand the reverse light thing from what was previously posted, all I need is this clutch wiring done to get my car started, even if I can bypass depressing clutch to start the car, I dont care. Let me know what kind of help you can give asap. Thanx
