h22 held alot of oil!

my h22 held 6 quarts of oil! is this regular for these motors? how much has any of yalls held?

also i fixed my problem with the key not coming out of the ignition because the new 5spd cant be in park...i took apart my steering column and found the wires responsible for this and simply did a voltage test and found out that if i cut them it would work...sure enough it did and works great! so thanks for help on that

well 6qrt is normal cause 6 qrts is like 2.2 liters and then some so its normal its not 6 liters lol

yea i let the engine run through and drained it for a good while...sounds pretty normal though

6 is a bit much... but if it is a new swap. or has been taken apart, i think it'll take 6. I know mine took about 5.75 after I messed around in the bottom end.

Usually takes 5 on an oil change.

anyway, "Just because it fits, doesnt mean you should stick it in." too much oil can do damage

hey well my engine takes 5 and some so 6 isnt too damn bad sorry. Its not too bad if it took 6 maybe he drained the oil out completely sorry damn. i was just tryin to help

yea, displacement has nothing to do with how much oil goes in the engine. well. . . not directly at least.

He has an f22a6. the H22 SHOULD take about 5 quarts. the F22 is only about 4. the difference is the engine and oil pan size.
