True, reputable sellers DO sell on ebay. However, they won't be the cheapest ones. Be sure to check feedback, and look around on the boards to see if anyone has good or bad things to say. One thing is for sure: DO NOT BUY from OsakaJDMmotors or any of their affiliates. Some people have had good luck with them, but I've heard more bad than good... compared to the negatives about other dealers, Osaka has an overwhelming amount!

well for him steve didn't charge tax. but i don't think it matters since i believe the tax is already built into the price whether local or out-of-state.

        Eh?
        They charge out-of-jurisdiction buyers tax?
Pretty neat, since they don't have to remit it!

Sales tax should only be charged for local sales. Most places add it. The only way Steve can get around that is to either take a loss, or doctor his books Something tells me local sales are subject to CA sales tax.

Adam, you're right. Even though this HAS been covered many times, it's nice to see some things come back. I learned you can't use automatic axles with 5 speed Prelude axles to make hybrid parts! See what happens when you just help out and don't flame?

Perhaps if you mail payment, and then go pick it up. It'll still be an interstate transaction if you do that, I would think

Call Steve and ask about tax. He'll be straight with you. Just don't call on a Monday.

You dont have to pay tax unless you are a cali resident. i never paid tax for mine when it got shipped.

i know washington state has something to where if you are from out of state you show them your id and they dont charge you tax.

I know that if I go over to PA and buy something in a store, I pay tax... I'm sure I could be exempt if I prove I'm from out of state, but that would have to be addressed.

maybe steve took the hit for letting my buddy slide without tax but you're right, all local sales should be charged sales tax.

and yes do NOT call steve on mondays. he explained to me that everyone tries to order on saturdays and they are open by appointement only so they try again first thing monday morning. he gets flooded with calls all day. wednesday is best! i'm sure you can cut a deal with him over the phone and then drive down and pay him directly. there are a lot and i mean A LOT of H22s to choose from. the LSD ones are rare so ask ahead of time.

Monday is also shipment day, I believe. He's got LOTS to do then!

There was an estimated 3 month wait when I tried to get the LSD tranny. Steve said that the aftermarket units are better anyway, so I just got the regular one. I kinda wish I waited However, my reason for swapping was because my 2nd gear synchros were GONE in my F22 tranny... I kinda rushed to get it done then.

Do a lot of people run the Accord tranny or do almost all run the Prelude tranny? I ask because I have a 5spd 5th gen and my tranny is in good shape.

You can run the stock tranny its just that the gearing is different and you will fall out of VTEC 1-2 upshift other than that it should be decent.

OK. I remember someone saying a downside to the F tranny to the H tranny but couldn't remember what it was....

Now all I have to do is figure out when I get ready to swap, is it that big a deal to save the extra cash on the tranny..
