    F20b swap help

Whats up cb7 world. I just got the f22 out and I have some questions before putting my f20b in. I would love to get a chipped p28 I dont quite have the money for that right now so I was thinking of getting a p13. Has anyone actually ran one of these? I've seen some posts about it working and some about how you shouldn't do it. Also wanted to confirm that all I have to do is run a wire back to the ecu for vtec and thats all. This is the most technical thing I've ever done with my cb7 so any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't do it. If you can't afford to get an ecu you can actually tune, you shouldn't go through with this. A "chipped" ecu is not as easily tuned these days, many tuners simply do not burn chips. If you can't find a local tuner that will do that for you, it's pointless to get one. There are cheaper alternatives these days, with boostedpnw, snake emu, and others, but still, you should absolutely get an ecu that can be properly tuned.

Running maps for a totally different engine could work well enough to run the car sure, it could also blow up that engine. Is it worth it to save a few bucks?

I tried running a P14?(H23) with my H22. It ran, but the idle kept bouncing from up and down continuously so I shut it off and never did that again. I think I did it out of curiosity.
