for one..its based in jersey..shipping will be forever...plus i dont think its lsd..
your in cali..get your motor from hmotorsonline or any other place in cali..itll be cheaper and easier..the biggest exoense with swaps is price and length of shipping..they could be a reputable company..but its on the other side of the country..for the same price or less you can go to the warehouse pick ot your motor..have it shippred or pick it up

just my 2 cents

Wise words....
Any distributor that sells a motor for a significantly cheaper price than someplace else should not be trusted. There's a reason why they can offer that motor for less than the competition... that reason is that they got it for a cheaper price. If a reputable distributor gets a motor for $800 and sells it for $1200, they make a $400 profit. I seriously doubt a lesser-known dealer will get the motor for $800 and sell for $900... not enough profit for the headache. No, they paid $400 for that motor. It probably came from a car with 200k miles on it, that sustained front end damage.
I've seen motors from well-known distributors show up with broken cam gears, holes in the block, fried pistons, etc...
If you want an H22, go with one of the distributors that have proven themselves time and time again. www.hmotorsonline.com is the best of the best, IMO.
i vouch for hmotorsonline as well. you're not too far away from burbank so you should call steve up and setup an appointment for look. he can ship them to you too and since you aren't too far away you should be ok. good luck bro!
They sell packages. I got my complete swap (came with everything, even axles...) for $2400 shipped to NJ. It's technically more than you need, but it's guaranteed to have EVERYTHING you could possibly want... and extra parts to sell off are always good too!
Buying a cheap H22 is like buying a cheap steak. However, the steak is probably tougher, and will last longer.
hmotors is the best. You MIGHT get a good motor from elsewhere for less... you MIGHT get a paperweight. I'd personally rather pay a little extra to ensure I got a good one. I'm hoping to one day do a K series swap... and I WILL get that motor from hmo.
yae DJ hizzle theres a bunch of JDM motors shops around here in LA it would be better if you got one from LA than from the internet cause instead of waiting forever for your engine to be delivered you could just pick and then take it with you the same day ummm you know where you can find alot of shops that sells JDM engines and transmissions is the RECYCLER trust me theres a bunch of shops that post up there ads there so you could try that also

I went through Japan Motor Import and couldn't be happier when I had it. Got it about 2 years ago. He gave me compression numbers, all the tracking info and I had it in less than 7 days and they're based in Canada. Price was 2600 shipped with LSD and tons of other stuff.
Dealing with companies based in Canada, unless you are also in Canada, is a little frightening. If it comes to a legal battle to get your money back, you're looking at international stuff... Basically, you're better off just forgetting about it and taking the loss. Not saying that EVERY dealer in Canada is bad... but many of the shady ones DO target US customers, simply because of the difficult legal recourse.
