hey kane if your gonna get your car reffed, go to the one at southwestern college in san diego. the main guy is cool as hell. (unless you get lucky with a student who doesnt know crap) Jaime and craig passed. hell alex basically passed with an F20B!!!

not to mention all 3 of those guys all ran a jdm p13 ecu.

the nor cal refs are probably just uber anal.

To bad I gave the USDM ecu back, or I would post pictures showing they are exact same size and shape. The one you took a pic of doesn't look like a P13 at all. Can you post a pic of the stickers? The one on the right looks like mine, but that one is a P14(according to the lable)....prelude SI non vtec. The one on the left looks exactly like a P28

I think that's what I'll do then, just have to do a few little modifications first.

this is true- and if ur car fails more than 2 or 3 times they label you as a gross polluter

I have passed every year since I put a JDM h22 in my accord, i even used my tired stock cat for 5 years as well. I used both jdm and usdm p13 ecus as well. Each year i go in they put the car on the dyno and i drive out with a new sticker. After my stock cat came off i ran a carsound high flow cat for 2 years before it wore out.

i'm glad they got rid of that stuff in Ohio.

i just go to the BMV and submit my renewel form and bam. i'm good for another year of driving.

              Carsound only lasted 2 years?

What state are you located at?

I am in texas, in montgomery county.
for $59 i am not complaining much about the carsound only lasting 2 years. thats a cheap ass cat.

as far as the tailpipe test I have always been very close to what california required for an h22 swapped accord, it did not matter which ecu was in there. several years I also passed with the egr disconnected too.

ya in the pic is a si ecu- i didn't feel like takin out my usdm p13 outta my car(they look exactly the same) for compairison, but that is a p13jdm ecu ill snap some pics and post it up-

btw i went to get my car smogged today and guess what? i'm now offically labeled as a gross polluter! FUCK! everything tested fine except for my HC measure @ idle. max is 100ppm, gross polluter is 250ppm and i measured 351ppm! its wierd because @ 2500 rmp i measured 72!? i thinkin that i had my idle turned down too much(it was idleing between 300-400 rmp after the test) cuz i was messing with it rite before- which i shouldn't have done. but on the test sheet it said it was measured @ 842 rmp. but i know for a fact it wasn't idlein that high. anywayz i raised the idle to about 850rmp and prolly tomorrow im gonna go and get a pre-test to see if that fixed the problem. anyone have any thoughts?

is your car registered as an accord with an h22 motor??or an accord with an f22?? just curious.

it makes no difference. it started life with a 2.2 liter engine and still has a 2.2 liter engine. they dont even care on my civic with an h22 either, its more work to pass that car through emissions though. But registration is just a vin and a list of costs and a sticker. As far as the test, they usually ask me every year with both cars what size engine it is, and i tell em 2.2l.

I've passed with my JDM H22 in MA and CT. Once in each state.

I would say that dreams are REALLY nice.
I have passed with a STOCK p72, but the chipped ones tend ot be rich and produce a lot of NOx. Dont now about CT, but here you can try and pay full price for every 2 tests.
