    Fuel pressure regulator question

my car is running too rich. i need to add a fuel pressure regulator on it, but i'm hesitant to purchase the eBay/Megan brand UNIVERSAL fuel pressure regulator. I do not know whether or not it will fit. Has anyone put a fuel pressure regulator on their h22a? Will a car run without a FPR? Thanks. and can someone put a picture of their FPR please? thanks.

that would be my last "solution" to that issue... What ecu are you running

im running the jdm auto h22a ecu. can't remember the code. the guy who tested the car for emissions recommended switching out the o2 sensor. i re-used the f22a1's o2 sensor.

The O2 sensor could be the culprit. A Fuel Pressure Regulator in this case is just a Band-Aid for the real problem. Not fixing it. Change the O2 sensor and see if that fixes it. If not then you've still helped your high-mileage car tremendously.

why did you make another thread about the exact same thing? we gave you some options and tried to help you in the technical thread but u rather just ignore those and make a duplicate thread and post somewhere else??? ...... you are going to get the same responses here...

are you also using the fuel pressure regulator that came with the h22a?
If you are using the f22 regulator....it runs higher pressure, and that is why you are running rich.

it doesnt make that much of a difference really.... not enough where he is blowing black smoke out the exhaust..

im thinking its the o2 sensor. even if its running rich, you should check timming, spark plugs, and anything that deals with fuel and spark. i think its sparking late. like when the valve opens its sparks out or something.
