Just tape it up. Lay a couple pieces over it. If you lived close enough, I've got a roll of aluminum tape somwhere, I'd give you a piece! lol You're not going to suck the tape off of it or hurt anything, you just need to close that hole up.

I was thinking about buying a roll of aluminum tape, but really have no other use for it, aside from the 6x8" piece i need

I think Ill just tape it with clear/duct tape for now and look for pipes in a JY.

Aluminum won't keep heat out...it is a good conductor of heat, and thus transfers it easily and quickly both ways, hence why it is used in engines, radiators, and heat exchangers.

thats EXACTLY how my AEM intake almost got a hole wore into it, b/c I broke the rubber grommet thingy that's supposed to keep it in position and everytime my engine moved, it rubbed it against that i'm thinking. I would say try putting duct tape over the reservoir or grind it down a bit so it's not as jagged against the intake.

True, but I think he's more concerned with sucking debris in through that hole. I don't see a hole that size making a significant difference in the temperature of the air in his plastic intake tube. Not being argumentative, just saying... lol

Ill look into filing down what i can, but i dont think i can get rid of too much.

As for the pipe, i just used packing tape, like Nelson said. As long as it closes the hole.
