    Fuel obstruction?

What effects would having something obstructing the fuel flow do?

When I first swapped in my F series, a vacume cover had fallen in my fuel feed line? I left it all un hooked and just turned the ignition so that a bit of fuel would come out and push it out. I never found the vacume niple but I just want to be sure its still not in there.

Would the fuel pump have pushed it into the fuel filter or does it not have enough pressure to do that.

The fuel pump will pump over 40psi - so yes it should force it through provided it doesn't catch on anything.
Easiest way to find out would be to do a fuel pressure test.
Low pressure would indicate a blockage before the fuel rail.
High pressure would indicate a blockage after the ruel rail.

How do I go about doing a fuel pressure test?

Plug a fuel pressure gauge into the fuel rail.
Any workshop should be able to do this for you, if you don't want to do it yourself.
