Haven't found a disadvantage yet. And according to my accelerometer, I've shown at least a 15 hp increase, which I suspect is because the increase it gives to a stock motor is increased slightly exponentially by my bolt-ons, if that makes sense. Just like a header can give you, say, 5 hp, and a catback can give you 5 hp, but the entire exhaust could give you 15 because of the two parts working more efficiently with each other. (numbers are not intended to be accurate, just using them to explain my point)
When I first did the swap, the power band felt different. maybe a little less on the low end of the curve, but the increase in the upper end more than compensated. The coupe also sounded more aggressive with the pt3, I thought. It seems smoother with the p12.
The only thing I could consider a downside was that it's bigger and has a different bolt hole pattern than our ECUs. Luckily I didn't have to deal with a TCU, so I wrapped some silicone tubing around mine to act as a cushion and "trapped" it under the ECU/TCU mounting plate. It doesn't rattle or slide around, and It's not going to go anywhere.
