    a/c compressor

the other day my a/c went out on me in the middle of the day so the next day i bought 3 cans put them in and had a/c for about 15 minutes until i went in the resturant ate came back out and no a/c again. i checked the low side line with the gauge and it was back to empty when i just filled it to the green. my friend said i need a new compressor is this true?

Sound more like a leak in the system to me. Get a dye test done and that will tell you where the leak is.

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

        leak test

btw check to see if the compressor has its power wire comming out of it. it should be by the front of it. near the radiator. if its been cut/broken the A/C will get warm a short time after you filled it up with freon. thats what happed to mines. Id fill it up, then after a while itll get warm sence the A/C compressor wasnt kicking in
