    P12 in F22A: code 4

I purchased a p12 from a member here. I popped it in today and and I got a code 4 (Crank Angle Sensor). It's running in limp mode.

Everything is still fine with my pt3.

I has a 92 lude a year ago and swapped it's p12 into my accord for a while it ran great.

I'm guessing I just purchased a bum ecu. Can anyone tell me otherwise?

Maybe a bad ecu. I've been running an auto p12 in my 91 5spd EX for almost 6 months with zero issues

Anybody know of a way to tell if there are any issues by looking at the circuits on the ecu board?

Everything is A-ok when I put my other ecu in.

I actually just searched the forums and found an older post from the guy and he was complaining about code 4.

        Sigh...

I don't have any codes with my p12. Gotta be a way to fix it.

There is a way to test it. I belive that sensor is in the dizzy housing on most older hondas. You just check to see if you are getting voltage to that sensor from the ecu. You'll have to get a Chiltons or Haynes manual. Then look for what wire color the wires are and test is with a mutlemeter or test light at the dizzy plug.

How come I don't get this code with my pt3? And when I used my other p12 about a year ago I didn't get the code either.

I'm just thinking the guy sold me a bum ecu.

I'd be willing to troubleshoot but I feel it's just the ecu.

Update: Nice I should have read through the forums before buying the ecu off the guy(tn_accords)
He was getting a code 4 that's probably why he sold it to me: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=103912
