    what is a cat supposed to llok like?

    i recently took off my cat to c it was pretty hollow is this a good thing? I've been running on 3 cylinders for about a year till recently i dropped in a replacement, pull my exhaust an cat to find it hollow is this normal or is sumthing supposed to b in there??

    Seriously, though:



    Was your car modified before you bought it? Sounds like someone gutted your cat, or put on a straight pipe. That, or it totally blew out.

                    hmm deev is turning out to be a prankster these days who really knows.

                    Back on the topic though, wouldn't driving on less than the 4 cylinders provided by Honda when the car was built just overwork the cylinders left and cause more problems??

                      Probably... but it sounds that he replaced the motor, so that's not really an issue.

                        running with a cylinder misfire would explain why your cat is hollow. a misfiring cylinder will heat it up enough to blow the internals of the cat right off
