    Spark Plug Wires

my situation is i changed my spark plugs um... maybe 4 months ago, and didnt change my sparkplug wires because i didnt think they can go bad.

but now i wanna change them anyways.
what should i do? should i change the spark plugs again?
or do i just take off the old wires and put new wires?
or replace both at the same time.

Spark plug wires should last 80-100k miles in the CB7. If they look pretty old just change them out.

As for the spark plugs it depends on what you used to begin with and how many miles you've gone since you put them in. In all likely hood the plugs are fine though.
Also you may want to gett a new cap and rotor wile you're at it (and get it new from honda).

cap/rotor change is very simple.. you know where the distributor is right? well, lable the plugs, take off the screws, i think there's 3, pull the cap off. Make sure you mark or take note of which spark plug wires go where.. right under it, there is a rotor.. pull that out, put a new one one, take the new cap, put that back on and hook up the spark plug wires to the correct numbered piece.

it should take all of 5 mins at the most.

awesome i will look into that thx man.
          what wires y'all runin'?
i am gonna go buy um but no one carries them so i hafta order them.
          o'reillys says 41.17 for ordering.
i think that might be too much for them.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I strongly disagree. I still have the original wires in my 91 with 14x,xxx miles and going strong. I had to change my wires for the first time in my 92 when it had 217,xxx miles. I replaced with NGK blues only because they were $14.99 vs the cost of OE at the dealership. If you're only getting between 80-100k miles on your wires, they can't be OE. Unless I just have good luck with wires?

It's true that they can last longer then 100k miles. I'm just going by the reccomended change intervel.
and where did you get the blues for onlt $15?

I bought them on line from CA for $14.99 + $6.00 S&H. The power of the internet!!!! That is why I also buy OE parts from various Honda dealers!!! I just do a search using dogpile, compare prices and part numbers. I have been finding the best prices in CA

I searched my records and they were purchased a couple of years ago from 1-888-779-7278 and spoke with Teresa. I don't know if they are still in business. I'm sure prices have gone up since then.....or maybe not I've seen them on eBay for about $26 not long ago. NGK HE62
