Alright, so I've go an automatic tranny with that sport shift option on my car. The problem is that the last day or two the light for the sport shift will start flashing and my transmission gears will be all messed up. It almost feels like the clutch is slipping in 3 and I have to put the tranny in 2 just to get the car to go. 1st is the same as being in 2nd and 4th is as if it was in 3rd when 3rd works normally. When the light isnt flashing the car drives just fine. Can anyone tell me whats goin on and has it happend to anyone else?

Concern about Auto tranny noise
I have a slight problem with my f22 auto. It's not a big deal because I'm about to swap but I'd still like to know what's wrong with it. It drives fine and the fluid is still red though it hasn't been replaced in over 2 years. When I stop the car and put it in park, a couple of seconds go by and then I hear a crunch sound coming from the right area of the engine bay it sounds like. What do you guys think?
H22 Fund Cancelled. Flight training underway.

Would you know where I might find the TCU and the solenoids? Is there some kind of a diagram? I dont have a manual for my car so I dont have any way of really knowing.Originally posted by Fake Thug View PostNo clutch on auto. I'd look at the shift solenoids or tcu
** If anyone has pdf files of the Accord manual could you email those to me? if its even possible to have those. Thanks.

1st off, the flashing light is try to tell you something... specifically a TCU diagnostic code. And when its flashing its code, it usually puts itself in limp-home mode, a state of minimal operability, or just enough function to work.
2nd, your TCU (Transmission Controller Unit) is located beneath the carpeting on the passenger side. Its mounted to a metal plate and is the larger of the two boxes, the other being the ECU. Its closest to the firewall. I doubt this is your problem.
3rd, the shift-solenoids are located on the transmission, in-front i beleive, and should be green in color?, or have some green somewheres around them? (can't remember, havent had an auto for a while). These could be your problem, but so could your fluid if it hasn't been changed in a long time.

i think it might be your rear engine mount. if your car is automatic then th rear mount is hydraulic. check it out.
