my problem. i went and got that tool that preasures the system. i found out that i had a very very little hole on the top of the radiator. but that still doesn't convince me on why the water boils on the reserve container. and why my car overheats.

my old dx losed more water that this shit and it still didn't overheat.

but right now i will get a new radiator. new thermostat and new sensors. then i will see if it overheats again.

oh yea when the car is warm and starting to over heat

feel the top radiator hose, it should be super hot...

then feel the lower long one, it should be cold...well that is if ur thermostat is fuked up.

flush the cooling system but please do my test =).
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

is that when it starts over heating...if so that means no circulation, most likley its cause of the thermostat sticking

thermostat is a easy 30 minute fix.

yeah i know its easy but the thing is that i already change the thermostat about 4 months ago. and its not a cheap one. its about $20. lol but when it starts to overheat i kind of smell colant burning.

but i don't see any leaking around. i just lose colant about less than 1/4 of the radiator.

try bleeding out the air from the bleeding valve. valve should be located where the thermostat is. same shit happen to me and my cuz told me to do that and it work. for me i had air in my radiator and so when ever the new thermostat opens half air and half coolant goes in and it's not enough coolant to cool down the engine block. not a lot of people know about this. i didn't even know about this until i came to live with my cuz which he's a mechanic.
              1. find bleeding radiator valve
              2. turn on engine
              3. open valve a little to where coolant is squirting out
              4. rev motor to higher RPM so that engine gets hot
              5. there should be air and coolant coming out at the same time from the valve
              6. leave it open like how it is until no air is coming out. so basically there should be no air but coolant coming out from the valve.
              7. close valve
              8. turn off engine
              9. add coolant to radiator and the resevoir
              10. should work because it did work on mine with the same situation that u have.

Does heat come out of the heater? If not, you could have a clogged or leaking heater core.

lol i have done everything. i think that right now my only option is to change the radiator. which is about $120.

I got my replacement Koyo radiator from ebay for $90 shipped. Check out my thread with how bad my thermostat was, and how I replaced it.

I think that you may have a partially clogged radiator and that is why you are not getting maximun cooling performance. Since the coolant can't flow freely within the radiator it builds up too much pressure threfore opening the radiator cap and spilling into the reservoir. I have seen it before as well, and it happens to older cars. I bet you that once you replace your radiator you will be fine. I don't think anyone is questioning if you know how to do everything on your car, just giving you some ideas, but still that is good for you.

lol man. yeah i know man. but the thing is that the reservuar is empty and i lose about 1/4 of the radiator water. but no leaks under the car or when i open the hood.
the only thing i noticed is the burned coolant smell. and this its not all the time. i still can't find out where does it burn it.

look behind under the thermostat...i have a small leak there.

there is a o ring there also the thermostat needs a seal msot of the time so it may seep from there.

also if u kept the stock clamps for the hoses then that may be leaking, those dont last too long.

i am bringing this out again.
guess what. after i changed all the fucked up hozes. replaced a seal that goes on a hard hoze under the thermostat housing. put a new thermostat from honda etc,,,,, after 2 months my car overheats again. the same story. i lose 1/4 or the radiator.
oh yeah i changed the radiator.
the oil level is good. i check the oil in the morning i don't see any coolant so it might not be the head gasket.
but the thing is that my car kind of starts iwth 3 pistons and when i review it will go away and it will work fine.

but this don't change the fact that my car is loosing coolant and i can smell the sweet burn smell of coolant.
i tryed to preasure the system and i find no leaks expect a small leak under the thermostat housing. but the thing is when i smell the coolant burning i go and put my hand under the thermostat housing(where the leak was) and i don't see any leaks coming from under there. so what is it????????????????
when i smell the coolant burning i go to the mufler in the back and i don't smell the same burned coolant smell. its drye.
i can smell the coolant burn when i just go out of the door.
heeeeeeeeeeelp i don't know what to do to this fucking car.

and i don't see any leaks from under the car,,,,,,, what should i do next.
