what's up man. ok u see the white thing on the last pic. well that is the cold idle vavle. here it goes on how u fix it.
this is only if u have a good throte body(which i assume u have.)
and if this a f22ax
in the back of the intake on the drivers side u got two things where a vacume line goes into. if its automatic then the vacume line goes on the top. if its manual the vacume line goes in the bottom.
for the automatic one. which is on the top
make sure that the vacume line is conected.(mine wasn't) so i had low idle on start up even when it was cold outside. and lately my rpms where jumpin while the car was cold.
anyway. conect the vacume line <<<< if its not conected.
start the car when the car is cold. the rpms should be around the 1600rmps or 1700rpms. this is when the car is cold.
if its not open that valve(the white plastic thing and turn it counter clockwork wise if u wanna put the rmps up and clockwork wise if u wanna lower the rpms.
u can do that only when the engine is cold. only in the mornign.
WHY: BECAUSE THAT VALVE IS CALLED THE "COLD IDLE VAVLE" AND THAT ONLY CONTROLS THE IDLE OF THE CAR WHEN THE CAR IS COLD.
then lets say ur car is worm now but its till idles aroud 1500rpms. then the only thing u got to do is the fix it where the gas pedale cable goes to the throte body. adjust it there and u good to go.
now for automatic ones: make sure that the cable that goes to the tranny is a little losse. not to much. but it got to be loose.
ps u can find out if u have a bad throte whe u can move it by hand where the gas pedale cable conects to the throte. move it left once. if the rpms go up but don't go down<<<<< its bad. if they come back to where they were then the throte body is in good shape.
move to the right once. if the rpms go way down to 200rpm and don't come up then<<<<< the throte is bad.
hope i helped. lol . the guy who swaped my engien didn't conect the vacume line in the back of the whole intake.
so i had bad idle(fucking hard idle) and no hight rpms when the engine was cold. and the acceleration sucked big time.
now everything is good. hopefully its better when i get a better throte body..
