    I hate electrical problems...part 9,000,001

So yet again another damn electrical problem. So after my wire re-wire tuck, I put everything back in order, and yes in the correct order, assembled the body parts properly.

I tried to start the car and nothing. It took about 8 tries and it finally fired up.

So for the next few days after, I ended up pulling out my exhaust since I will be fixing my possible exhaust leak. I removed my exhaust and raised it , then dropped it down.

Long story short, when I tried to start the car, it wouldnt crank. I also noticed that my battery, check engine, and oil lights were dim, while the rest of the indicator lights remained as normal, bright.

Furthermore, I do hear my main relay clicking, and I got my starter tested and it passed. My battery tested at a 12.25 with everything off. Alternator problem? Highly doubt it.

I was thinking it could be a loose ground but I rechecked ALL my wiring, especially the wires I tucked.

    Anyone experience this problem?

What are the symptoms of a bad ignition switch? I dont even get a crank.

Thanks for the help guys, in advance.

It doesn't sound like a loose ground, Rather a Poor ground.
Check the resistance between the main ground wires and the body - high resistance will indicate a poor connection

To start a car? I thought it had to be above 11.xx?

ticking is it from the relay?

i just got a call from my dad with the same issue. he says as soon as he closes the door, he will get ticking noises coming from the front seat. the car won't start....
he had to remove a fuse and jump start the car to move it. but as soon as he stops and turn it off, the car won't start again.

i will go and check it out soon, let you know if i find something.

sounds like you have stray voltage or a loose ground

              ...adjust accordingly

                      that is def. NOT true.

A car will start with 10volts all day long, its not recommended but it will. My optima battery will go down to 11.5 after many days of not being run in the winter. It starts just fine.

well i found out what the problem was. the problem with mine was that the seat belt motors were bad for some reason. after turning off the car, they would drain the battery... all i did is charge the battery and remove the fuse for the radio/seat belt motors.... after 2 days the car starts fine.

now i have to find out why do the motors still work after the car is off.

                          Update:

Still working on putting my car back together. Wow its been over a month now. I tried to crank and still the same symptoms.

It's not completely together but I am assuming its a ground.

Will update again within the next couple of days.

                              I tried searching.

Is there a difference between wiring harnesses?

                              I mean can I use a 92 LX engine harness for a 93 EX?

This headache is killing me but I think getting a completely brand new harness will cut my headache in half.

EDIT: I know MT and AT matters. It's MT by the way.
