Quick Idle Question

I have a quick quick idle question for those of you who know.

Should your car be able to idle without the throttle cable cable connected?

If this seems like a stupid question to you then sorry, but I want to know what others say.

Just a bump, the thread got pretty far down on the list after only one night.

the throttle cable will only control the throttle. Your car WILL idle with the throttle closed.....

Thats what bypasses are for. If yours doesn't then you have a problem.
