    Removing ABS

Ok I just bought a $500 93 EX 5 spd and it has the ABS light on. How do I completely remove ABS from the car? I already have a non ABS and all lines that I might need. I did a search but didnt find a complete DIY as to how to complete a removal of it. Can anybody lead me in the right direction?

Remove the ABS Lines, Modulator and Actuator from the engine bay.
Install the Non-ABS accord hard lines,
cut one flare off, change fitting size to match ABS MC, reflare with double-flare tool

Use the Proportioning Valve from a 90-93 Integra, or any "4040" Prop Valve from a 4-wheel disc, non-ABS integra/civic, it bolts to the driver side inner firewall.

Look under the hood near the battery...there is a separate ABS Power system box coming from the fuse box, disconnect it from the Fuse Box.
Remove the wiring and box if you want and tape the harness back up.
You won't really be able to get every wire unless you unwrap half the car's harness.
Unscrew the ABS connector, 2 bolts, from each wheel, trace the wire back to the orange plug, disconnect and remove the sensor assemblies from the car.
In the trunk behind the passenger side trim panel is the ABS ECU and 2 relays, remove them.
Take the bulb out of the dash.
I got crazy with it, followed the ABS ECU connector and removed all of the wires from the harness running up the right side of the car to the fuse box and across under the passenger seat to a test connector. I removed a couple pounds and many many feet of wire and I still didn't get the wires out of the engine bay, It'll be much easier with the engine out. Use wiring diagrams to make sure you're cutting out the right wires, and tape off any cut wires individually.

    I think that's it.

Keep your ABS MC, it's bigger, and will work with the non-ABS lines after you change one fitting and then reflare.
Don't use the Accord non-ABS prop. valve, I did and it's made for rear drums, makes the pedal suck and doesn't have the right F/R brake balance.

        Pics, hmmm...
        ABS ECU & relays:

        Modulator:

        Accumulator:

The ABS parts/lines are in the box in the top left of the pic below, that is the non-ABS system outside the box below that.

So you need line #2, 3, 4 and 9 Correct?

              I think so.
Getting the little brackets that hold the RF line to the firewall would be nice too, but not necessary.

Thanks. The whole brake system on my accord is just pissing me off. Having to convert the POS ABS system is just a headach. And don't get me started on the retarded HOR design of our brakes. After everything is said and done I'm going to have more money in the brakes than I do in the whole car.

i just pulled the engine and im diving into this myself, i will be taking a decent amount of pics to document the process of removing ABS, but since you can't buy the non-abs lines... im making my own, from the soft lines to the 40/40 to the MC... should all be new lines bent by me!

Junkyards don't want much for the stock ones either.

Junk yards around me cut the lines when they take the master cylinder off.
