    Good news about my CB7

Good news about my CB7 - Modified By KC here in Merriam Kansas said they can do the needed valve adjustment for $110 to $120 and that it would take an hour and a half. I get paid tomorrow, plus I am expecting a check from the IRS for Earned Income Credit. I should hopefully have the engine fixed by MKC's Dyno Day, April 25, 2009. What I am wondering is what horsepower numbers should I be getting on a PT3 ECU with a healthy motor?

just a regular routine valve adjustment? you can do that yourself, its pretty simple. whats wrong with your motor?

Only thing wrong with the motor is its reading low compression, but the compression is even across the board at 125 to 128psi. One of the fellow CB7tuner members said that the valves needed adjusting after listening to the engine and hearing a sound like metal tapping against metal. The mechanic who checked it said the tops of the pistons are clean, indicating no oil in the cylinders, but he did find a bit of rust forming on the tips of the spark plugs, which indicates moisture is getting into the cylinders while the car sits at night. He said its not enough moisture to flood the engine, but it is enough to cause condensation inside the cylinder. He said that I caught it early enough that the condensation has not rusted the cylinders yet and that I need to get it fixed before the cylinders do rust.

Nothing is modified on it right now. All I did was take off the airbox and replace it with a K&N cone filter that is designed for a Saturn Ion. I don't have the money, time, or place to do any work on my car. I would appreciate some help with the valve adjustment if anyone can help me with it.

it only takes me 30 min to do, so $100+ is a rip off.
