Balljoints replaced, still a wierd sound...

Hey everyone, at the beginning of March, I had Honda replace both left and right lower balljoints, the right side upper arm and both axles were replaced. Reason was I had been hearing serious squeaking when I would turn the steering wheel, and pretty much, the nite before my appointment at Honda, the passenger side gave out and the wheel snapped back. Anyways, the squeaking is all gone now that the parts have been replaced, however at certain points, when I am holding the steering wheel at a certain degree, for example on a highway on/off ramp or a big sweeping curve, sometimes I will hear an extended sound similar to a whale call. It doesn't happen every single time, but often enough, and i hate it. Should I not be hearing this sound after all this work I had done, or could this sound be coming from something else. Any help would be great, cuz I am pretty upset about it Thanks
    -Vince

Have you checked your wheel bearings for play? Have they ever been replaced?

Actually I have not checked them, and I'm not sure if the dealership did either. If it makes any difference, I was also hearing the sound before I had the work done too. Is it something I could easily check myself? And also Im pretty sure they were never replaced.

Whale sound? Sure its not your power steering pump low on fluid? Thats about the sound it makes when its low.

please elaborate on the noise. does it sound like a beached whale calling for help? If so it may be your p/s pump sucking in air...

You should jack your car up and grab a hold of the front wheel at 6 and 12 and check for play. While you're there check for play at 9 and 3 too.

Could be P/S pump or wheelbearing as stated above.
              Check those two things first.

Check the link in my sig for wheelbearing check.

Thank you guys! Im gonna check fluid levels on the PS and also check the wheels bearings for play. Thanks also for the how-to's on checking the wheels bearings. I'll post up my findings, if i have any, just so if anyone else ever experiences this, they will know .
