Alrite, I opened up my passenger side door panel. The actuator itself cannot be removed because the power window rails block it. By passenger door lock solenoid, you meant the actuator right Sorta confused on that wording. That link says to test the actuator with a battery, so I can just take a 9 volt battery and test it right?

OR do you mean to test the control unit in the driver's door?

nothing should be blocking it there is a little hole and there is a grey box unclip the controle unit and test it and look in it

For the actuator? I thought the actuator and latch were one piece and the power window blocks it. The control unit in the driver's door works fine.

The 9V battery might work, but a 12V source is a better test, since 9V may not trigger the actuator or solenoid. I am sure the actuator is the problem.
The input from the switch goes to the door lock control unit which locks or unlocks all doors.

Bringing this back from the past...
i97supratti, did you ever get this resolved? Is solenoid an interchangable term for solenoid here? Is the actuator and latch one piece?

I'm starting to make notes since I know my pass. front door takes a few times to lock--the only door and from any switch, so that sounds like an actuator. Also I noted what seems to be the latch starting to wear when opening the door from the outside only.

No I havent figured it out yet. I've done everything except replace the actuator itself. I cleaned the connections, lubed the magnets, and etc. but I guess it's just dead. I'm waiting for one warm day to do this, it's freezing cold right now.

If I'm understanding this correctly... in the following #4 is the actuator and it goes into the lock assembly which is shown as a whole as #3 in this link:

                      Back from the undead.

I was looking into whether I can tackle this myself. I have one lazy front door lock and one in the rear. front pass. & rear driver. It seems like its the actuators on each as they sometimes work and provide the same results from any switch. Others locks OK from any switch.

btw, did you ever get this working on yours i97surpratti?
