    No compression on 3 cyls

Ok this is for my 93 Civic Si. I figured I could find more knowledgeable people here. And its a Honda.

Ok I bought this hatch non running. When I went to turn it over it sounded like it didnt have compression on a few pistons. Well I bought it and brought it home and did a compression test from 1-4. 121-0-0-0. So I checked the cam to see if it was broke and its fine. The crank isnt broken because I dumped the clutch when I was turning it over and it lurched forward. I know for a fact the timing belt isnt broken and it was actually on time and looked to be an older timing belt. The car sat for a month after this happened. I understand if it was blown up or something why it wouldnt get compression but this is just weird. How do I check for bent valves before I rip into it???

leakdown test. but if your not getting compression on 3 cylinders i would tear into it anyway. Pull the head and see whats up.

Ok I figured it out. What happened was the key that holds the crank portion of the timing pulley walked itself out and bent the valves. Looks like I gotta yank the head off. Who wants to bet the pistons are effed.

Oh well the keyway was fixed for me but the people didnt realize the valves were bent. I still have to figure out that spark issue.
