additional coolant temp in outlet housing??

I'm going to be installing oil pressure and coolant temp gauges soon and I'm getting a sandwich adapter for the oil pressure probe, but I was thinking of drilling and tapping an additional hole in the coolant outlet housing on the front of the engine to screw the temp probe into.

Anyone done this or foresee any issues it could cause? Is the housing outlet thick enough for the threads to hold? Would the probe sticking in there close to the other OEM sensor cause flow issues?

I'd like to put it at this location because it's where the coolant is at its hottest.
