Driver window switch problems

Well... Hello All!

I am having window problems. When I use my driver side window switch for the passenger window, I can make it go down but not up. But, I can make it go back up if I use the passenger button. Also, the driver window is currently up, but I cannot make it go down using the driver master switch. When I use the switch and click for the window to go down, the switch feels like it is working, but no sign of movement from window. But, even though the window is up, if I click the switch up the window has power as if it would go up (had it not already been up).

do i need a new master switch? how do i take the old one off?

Yes. I think you need a master window switch. You have to remove the entire door panel . once that is done the window switch is attaced by two or 3 screws on the door panel. If you get one from the J-Yards, you can change the plastic colored bezel and use your original one.
