Drove a while and now wont start

OK so i drove my cb today for quite some time about 12 miles on the highway then alot of city driving and then back on the highway for 12 miles and alot more city driving... well i go home and get something i had to mail and went to start it and it wouldnt turn over.. now ive checked

    grounds
    tapped the solinoid
pretty much everything i can think of

well i had to leave so i put the key in the on position and tryed to pop start it... no go
so i left it in the on position and put the ebrake on the jumped the wires on the starter and it fired up.. what do you guys think it is..

btw ive searched and cant find this precise problem anywhere.

Did it start after a while? Is it hot there? If so, then it's your fuel pump relay

If it was that, the starter should have at least cranked the motor. He had nothing...

I think its your ignition switch. Especially since it started once you jumped the starter. By doing that you bypassed the ignition switch.

check for CEL codes. I'm willing to bet you'll throw a 15 which is your igniter.
