anybody know anything about 89 accords and carburators?

i dont know if this is the right section for this but i need some info on an 89 accord lx sedan, reason being my girlfriend has one and the idle on it is wack ive had it apart 3 times trying to find out and today i found out that the carburator is bad in it and needs replaced. that being said is it possible to swap an f22 intake manifold onto it and make it fuel injected? or can i just find another accord that year and swap the carb?

Are you talking about A20 engine and using an F22 intake manifold - No It wont fit on.
Or Do you mean F20 carb engine and wanting to use F22 intake manifold - No it won't fit either (head doesn't have injector cutouts cast into head)

You will have to change the ECU and little wire up nothing big from what I remember ...its been a while and had help from someone that knew about these type of cars, google it im sure you can find a write up about it

Ehhh I dont think it will be anything that simple. Fuel injection systems need a lot to function. You will have to add the FI intake, Injectors, Sensors, the ecu, and wire all of it. Also you will have to convert the fuel system to high pressure which probably involves replacing the tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, ect.

It really wouldn't be worth the time or effort in my opinion....
