Problem with my car.

Hey peeps.

The problem is my battery keeps going dead. like i would have to keep chargeing to get places. when i turn on the car the engine light would come on while making a wierd noise than the light we turn off n the noise. would stop also when i turn the key all the way theres another noise..it kinda sounds like a machine gun. I would charge the battery its all good for a few days than it wont start. I took the battery to auto zone and they said its good.

You have a short somewhere in one of the always-hot areas of the electrical system. Refer to the diagrams in your haynes manual and start checking everything that always has power, and be sure to look at your wires in the engine compartment for signs of shorting.

a week but ill start checking everything. it cant be the alt. because its brand new.

just because it's brand new doesn't mean it's not defective. I have been through 5 alternators in 6 months. the internal regulator or diode keeps going out.
