    amp hz rating

I have a 1500w rockford mono amp and a 600w rockford 4 channel amp, is there a general reccomended hertz rating that I should adjust my amps to so that it won't damage anything or does it all depend on how I want it to sound and the hz rating won't matter?

For bass, I usually set my crossover at 80hz as the cutoff. That way nothing higher than 120hz goes thru my subs

My bad. I meant 80 as well. I had 2 different things goin on at the same time

So is it the higher the number on the herts the higher the pitch of the sound?

Yes, higher hertz = higher frequencies. I believe my subs amp is set at 80 hz. anything above that sounds too midrange for me.

This is also not in the correct section. It should be in audio.
