mine was a healthy 2790 lbs when last weighed.....w/ a quarter tank of gas. The tools and spare tire were removed, the sound tar on the floor was removed, but was replaced with dynomat. The car was a 92LX Coupe automatic. It had i/h/e, as well as a few other minor things removed. I was not in the car at the time. This also included my Enkei 16x7" rims which are of course a bit heavier than the stock steelies.

Divide the weight by 2.2 and you've got Kilos, come on now :P.

you guys take this weight issue too damn serious... my idea is that, you should build that shit up to be able to own somone with a car full of people, not make sure you lose 2lbs so that your tiny motor can pull you faster.. i mean cmon..

If your pretty concerned about weight like I am, then remove the ac and power steering components. Doing that will drop a considerable amount of weight.

Theone, if you want that tar stuff to come up then you have to get dry ice on it. Some parts will come up anyways(like in the floor boards) because your feet's weight are constantly shifting and breaking the bond between the tar sheet and the body. Not to mention the age. But get some dry ice and break it up and spread it out and then get a strong flat-head screwdriver and chisel it up with that. Make sure you have a vacuum.
