Are you running a CAI? If not, try to start it. If it starts, does it run like shit?
You probably got water in the dizzy cap, pop it off, dry everything inside it, including the rotor button and whatever else you can see, put it ba ck together and see if it's better.

The distributor cap. All your spark plug wires run to it.

The most likely cause of engine sputtering and dying after driving through a puddle is a wet dizzy.

Take the cap off and blow it out with some compressed air, and the alt.

bad plug wires will do it too. They get wet, and start to arc. But check the dizzy first, its most likley.

You can run CAIs and be fine, you just also need to be running a bypass valve in there somewhere. I had one.
