It shut off and won't start.

I pulled out of the gas station after I got gas and hit vtec in first gear and the car just shut off at 7.5k. So I pulled it onto the side of the road. I tried to start it and it would just crank and crank but it wouldn't start OR sputter. I checked the plug wires and the fuel line. They were okay. and of course the battery was fine or it wouldn't be cranking. But then a guy stopped buy and sprayed starter fluid in the air filter and it started right away and ran until it ran all of that starting fluid through.

    It's running a code 15 = Ignition Output signal
That's the only code it is running.

Do you guys know what I can do to get it off the side of the road without towing it?

    How can I fix that?

    No spark.

    Ignition Coil or Igniter.

If they were plugs , the car would start at least.
Check your ignition coil with a multimeter.

That's not completely true. I've had bad plugs be a reason for my f22 not to start. They were covered in oil though. lol

I doubt that's the problem though. Cause I have a new h22a in my cb right now.

            Well duh.

Check your ignition coil and igniter with a multimeter first before you start replacing.

When I was cranking it and it would start with the starting fluid the tackometer was goig crazy. It was saying it was revving really high when it wasn't even fully started.

Hmm , I realized something related to this.

When I went to jdm_inspired's place few years ago , I rode on his car then his tach would go crazy and go poo. Few weeks later his car would just stop unexpected. The tach would go crazy first before shutting off. He found out that his alternator belt is worn out.

BUT , in your case , your getting a Code 15? Which leads to ingition related.
                Atleast check both.

The alternator belt being bad would make a lot of sense. Because when we were putting it on we had to squeee it in pretty tight. I think we may have put a couple of dents and scrapes in it. I don't know though.

                  I'm ONLY getting code 15.

                    Bump.
So probably ignitors? Or alternator belt possibly?
                    Maybe distributor related?

if it starts when you spray starter fluid in it, then you have spark, your issue is fuel. is your fuel pump priming? do u hear the main relay clicking normally? have u checked for fuel pressure... i know your getting an ignition related code, but you definitely have a fuel issue, or it wouldnt start with starting fluid...

I can hear it click after I turn the key to position 2. And gas squirts out of the fuel line like it's supposed to.

                              1) Has it got spark at the plugs?
                              2) Has it got fuel at the fuel rail?
I'm sure it will have compression so that only leaves 1 or 2.

Go find the answers to that and you will find why its not starting.
