    Coupe window retainer button

This morning I discovered that the little metal button that holds the upper rear corner of the driver's window in it's track was missing from my car. I suspect someone tried to pry the window and popped the button, then was scared off by the alarm chirping the first stage. (I found the outside of the button lying on the ground next to where I parked all weekend)

Where can I get one, and how big of a PITA is it to replace it?

(Pic from before the button went missing)

look up window pin kit. There's a DIY on here somewhere about replacing that when your coupe windows rattle a lot when driving. I believe the kit is about 28-30 bucks.

yeah no problem. But I think I may need to do mine again. I did mine about 3 yrs ago, but they're starting to rattle again. Another thing that could also cause this is the track itself wearing out. Because the pin will wear, but you also have to remember that the track is plastic as well, so that'll wear over time. Idk, when the window's all the way up, with some force I can push the bottom of it into the track a tiny bit.

But I need to take it apart to actually see what's going on.

I didn't have any rattling problems before and I actually found the outside piece of the button that you can see, and the inner shaft was snapped off, which made me think someone tried to break into the car by peeling the glass. The track still looks fine, and if I hold the window in place when I roll it up, I can get it to seal good enough to wash the car without leakage (thank God, because I forgot and sprayed it yesterday! lol)

I could be wrong, and if they did, the alarm scared them off when they triggered the first stage. Either way, My keys go to bed with me now, so I can hear the remote.
