    CD5 front frame SWAP

If you have driven a CD5 then i bet you'll notice that they don't seem to hop as much as the CBs. Therefore, I actually i had the idea of swapping the front frames of a cd with a cb. Both of the two frames look like they are identical, except the major difference is the front mount designs are totally different. I think CD's front mount design is far more superior. Does anyone think so? Has anyone done it?

Is the crossmember the piece that attaches onto both frames? If so, then nope. The piece that has the caster bars going into it. I'm sure this would correct wheel hop. I still have yet to try it. I actually have the parts already. I just need some spare time.

i have the front prelude crossmember, similar to the CD
but as far as the mounts and caster improvement, didnt feel a bit of difference at all

front and rear motor mounts are the most important part in this subject
being that too stiff of a rear mount will cause too much vibration
poly solves this, since the cross member is bolted straight up w no rubber or insulator in between all the vibrations from the motor get passed to the CM and to the cabin

getting a respectable poly rear mount is your best answer being that you dont need a front mount, making cross member swap worthless

Yo you mean using the front end crossmember on the CD chassis right? What is the purpose of using a prelude or CD front cross member

If your cb hops more then the cd your used to driving, I would suggest you check the condition of your suspension system. CD's are newer then CB's, so the CD's suspension is almost guaranteed to be in better shape then your CB's, as there could be up to a 7-8 year age difference. Same thing can also be said about all rubber components on your car, like radiator hoses, vacuum lines, bushings, motor mounts, etc.
