    help with lights!

    okay heres my situation
    91 accord ex
just bought HIDS (xentec) 1 week ago 12k
well one is blue the other is purple
removed AC and all components yesterday and now the one that was purple is blue and vice versa
my sidemarker on driver side is way dimmer than the other one and i checked all the connections
so basically im riding around with 2 different colored lights
my top worry is my sidemarker being more dim than the other
    do we have voltage stabilizers?
also this is pissin me off my lap seatbelt is stuck all the way out and wont retract?!?
idk how to get it to retract back in its just stuck all the way puulled out

if someone could help i would appreciate it it is aggravating me to know my lights are all flip flopped and whatnot

    -thanks

      check all ur wires
some of the wires might be shorting out which will cause the lights to dim
if ur wires are fine then the next thing i would do is check the fuses
but start off at the wires
dirty wires cause high resistance which causes voltage drop to the lightbulbs
power and ground is where u should always start off at

It won't be a problem with the wiring in your vehicle. If your ballasts fire, and bulbs turn on, they are getting the proper voltage. There is either an issue with the bulbs, or the ballasts. Sounds like poor electronics in the ballasts (cheaply manufactured).

Just to make sure, test them out of the car and just supply 12v and a ground to the ballasts one at a time and see if the problem repeats.

          Good luck.

Also make sure all grounds are in good shape. That brand of HIDs have never given me any problems and I have owned at least 5 sets.

your seatbelts malfunctioning the way they are u can bring them to HONDA and have them fixed. being its a safety thing they must treat it as like a recalled item. go talk to ur local honda dealership and see what they have to say. i'm betting they will fix it NO CHARGE.
