HELPP STRANDED IN MAINE -- Car wont RUN CORRECTLY...

    So here we go
    02 civic turboed. Kpro

Car was running fine, then yesterday the car would like bog out and start to freak out. I made it where i was going and went to drive home this afternooon and car wont even drive.

The wideband goes crazy rich off the wideband -- and the car runs for a sec and like backfires and shit.

Why ? I thought maybe the front 02 was bad because I had a CEL for that. I replaced that and still have the same problem, nothing was changed, the car was running fine.

The car will start for a sec then go wicked rich then i hear turbo spooling and it wont go past 2K RPMS

    Someone please help

Have you popped the ECU and checked for burnt internals? An o2 wouldnt cause it to run that bad I dont think.

You just never know. It happens alot around here for some reason. I havent heard anything about any kpro duking yet. Isnt it a K-series? I thought they had timing chains?

the cel is only going to tell you whats being affected by the problem.. Not necessarily what is wrong. sorry i cant be more helpful but to me it sounds electronic like a bad ecu or something .. id start with reseting the ecu to see if that helps even a little till you can get to a shop or something

I'd say it's a bad o2 sensor spot on your ecu. I had a similar problem, changed o2 sensors, bought a brand new one, the light was still coming on. It would come on within seconds after starting my car. Got to reading, the o2 sensor doesn't send a signal back to the computer until it reaches some God awful temp. So, if the o2 sensor light is coming on as soon as you start your car, I'd look at the ecu.

Did you take the ecu out to see if it was fried?

You could of had a power spike, could of been a faulty ecu, or spot on the board. Has it been hot inside the car lately? maybe that could of had something to do with it?? maybe compromised the solder points on the board?

Map sensor wire unpluged or vaccum line with a pin hole?

I can guess alot of things but with out a scanner in my hand and the car beside me...
