cruise control

it went out on my 92 integra gs

the switch light turns on but when I hit the SET button it doesn't engage and the light on the dash doesn't turn on.

I had the speed sensor replaced recently if that makes any difference...

any ideas?

The little rubber tab on your clutch pedal arm that the clutch safety switch pushes against fell out. Check the one for your brake lights on the brake pedal arm also. If not that start with checking fuses.

its an automatic so no clutch pedal.. but a did see a rubber tab fall off of the the brake pedal which Im pretty sure only controls the brake lights and I fixed that so i'll check out the fuses again later see if anythings off..

That tab on the brake pedal also disengages cruise when the brake is pressed, if it's missing, the cruise won't work. As long as your brake lights are not on constantly that isn't the problem though.

no burned fuse no apparent reason for it to be unresponsive any other ideas?

Check the vacuum hose that connects to the cruise control actuator under the hood. It may have gotten disconnected.

no luck finding what was wrong. I'll just have to go get it checked out i guess
