Converting 1990 to 1993 Seat belts

before anyone flames me, I have been searching this forum for the last couple of weeks about this subject and I have been asking around.

I have a 1990 Honda Accord Coupe, EX, with the Auto Belts. last week, I located a 1993 Honda Accord Coupe EX in the local pick your part with manual belts and all of the interior trim associated with the belts. took everything out of that car.

now there is an DIY on the Auto to manual seat belt converison but its for the sedan.

what I remember is that there is three points of contact on the manual belts for the coupe and there is only two points of contact on the sedan manual belts.

Now i am looking for anyone who has done this swap or who can advise me on how to go about this swap. I want to get rid of the auto belts for good.

no flaming will commense since you actually searched. but i will assume its the same as the sedan.i had my manual seatbelts welded in place on my sedan.
stronger than any bolt will hold. i took the measurements out of the car in the yard and applied them over to my car. and had them tac'ed in place to do test fits. then finally after all was fitted. i then welded it onto the pillar. then put all the plastic covers back over the reels as if it was stock. just make sure to mount the reciever to the seatbelt on the seat after u remove the whole auto seatbelt assembly

i took a mixture of phatdoughnuts write up as a refference and went my own way after i mocked it up in my car.

since the seats are going from coupe to coupe they should bolt up the same. its the pillar that the belts mount to that will be tricky.

if u are going to weld i highly sugguest u remove ur carpet or put some viynl tarps down to catch the sparks.

Just move the belt clip down so its easy to just clip the belt in. My passenger didnt work bought one off a local parted out cb7 but i wanted a complete replacement but the guy just hacked it up and gave me half the part.

So i just used the stock one and moved the clip down to just be clipped in.
