91 ex cel and car hesitating

i recently installed a p12 ecu. before the install i had no check engine light. the install went good with no issues. i took it for a ride no cel everything was good, then i got on the gas and then the cel came on. So i went back to regular driving and relized that the car was hesitating at around 3k rpm. When i say "hesitating" i mean when i give the car steady gas it will go fine until around 3k rpm then it would bog then accelerate again. I got home and checked the cel, and all it did was have a long blink. The ecu didnt reset it just like had a long blink, a long blink and kept going. I counted 4 seconds in between each flash and it didnt get any longer in between blinks. After i tried to get the code i waited a few minutes and turned the car on and there was no cel. i took it for a ride got on the gas and it was perfectly fine . Btw i have a short ram intake and catback and its 5 speed.

    any help would be great

maybe it takes time for the ECU to "learn" your engine

Or it could be that your timing is off, Idk if the P12 looks for different parameters or not compared with the PT3

im not sure about that either. but if the cel went away and the car drove fine last night i dont think it would be my timing

Sorry to bump an old thread but I just experienced the same thing today. Exactly the same issue.
CEL on and then when I restarted the car, it turned off.

I just installed my P12 yesterday.

            Any more insight?

                Replace your o2 sensor.

Are you suggesting the P12 uses a different o2 sensor than the stock ECU?

No. It means your o2 sensor is going bad.

Why would the o2 sensor be going bad only with the P12 and not with the stock ECU though?

Just sounds like a coincidence that your o2 went out after the swap, it happens.

I'm going to try putting the stock ECU back in.

I should still be getting a CEL if it's the o2 sensor, right?

                              Codes 1, 41 and 43 indicate a problem in the O2 heater circuit. (HO2S)

For a code 1 that resets itself, it is only an intermittent failure.

                              - You should check for loose connections at the O2, ECU and the shock tower.

If it comes back, diagnose for a 43 MIL code.

I can outline the 43 MIL code if needed.

*** Now none of this applies as you have a 10 MIL code which is the IAT Sensor.

                              Hope that helps.
