I broke 4 sockets trying to get the head off of the block for you. Good thing they're craftsman

Good luck getting a head bolt out with a easy out.
Last time I did a cylinder head on a f22b I split 2 sockets taking it off just with a ratchet and a peace of pipe for leverage.
Can you take the rest off and still get the head off?
Is it broken off down in the block or is it just the head?
I guess what I am asking is did it brake off down in the block or is any and if any how much of the bolt is above the surface of the block?
            Post a pic.

It broke off on the longest headbolt and is 2 and a half inches inside the block right where the threads start. My ez outs arent long enough.

Im realllyyyyy fucked. I wonder can it run on 9 headbolts?

Maybe you can take the block out and take it to a machine shop and have them put the block on a mill and drill the bolt out and tap it.

It will run but it will leak like a headgasket. My buddy tried it on his LS when the threads in the block stripped out. I'd try to pull the head off (head bolt still in) and then use vice grips to try and work it out.

Nothing is sticking out. The head is off. Im gonna find a block on craigslist or the junkyard and see what I can do to rebuild it

                      Longest headbolt???????????

But if you need something to just get by for a little and need a car I would measure the new bolt and how deep it can go. Then I would grind the new bolt to the "correct" length... 2.5 inches may be enough for it to grab...

Hack - Yes completely but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. It may last long enough for you to get a new motor built up

The longest one is the back middle one.

or bring it to a machine shop and they can probably drill it. it's easy when the engine is out of the car, which is why i love my job so much.

What if i made a line of jb weld going from the 2 bolts next to it. then set the gasket down on it and tightened the head down to spec on 9 bolts? maybe some gasket sealer right next to the bolt on the head so it will seal even?
